Workplace Hypnobirthing
Please see my hypnobirthing page for full details and benefits.
I have had the great privilege to teach women hypnobirthing, in their workplace , for the past four years.
Most of the ladies I work with are juggling lots of responsibilities, have little time and lots of stress, coupled with varying degrees of trepidation about the birth of their baby. No two mother's requirements have been the same and although it takes 3 to 4 session to teach all the techniques, every session has been bespoke to best fit their needs.
Hypnobirthing teaches women how to relax mentally and physically to ensure their birth is as easy as possible. However, learning to relax is also very important for mothers and babies during the entire prenatal period. Pregnant woman can be more susceptible to anxiety and research has now found a direct link between pregnancy anxiety and post natal depression, making learning to relax all the way through and beyond pregnancy vitally important for wellbeing and mental health.
Many women I have worked with felt under such time constraints that had their employer not facilitated an opportunity for them to receive Hypnobirthing in the office, in working hours, they simply wouldn't have done it. For a number of women this was, in fact, the only form of ante natal course they were attending.
Feedback from all the women I have worked with has found that hypnobirthing helped them. Even if the birth was a caesarean, mothers still felt the hypnobirthing had helped them.
Furthermore, we can even use Hypnotherapy to help at the pre-pregnancy stage to lose weight, stop smoking or reduce anxiety to support fertility and postnatally to manage any feelings of anxiety, depression and to build confidence.
